MusicBlaster is the name of a plugin that is built into Macaw and used to play MIDI presets from Soundfont, MusicFont and dls files.

Details

MusicBlaster is a 16 channel plugin that works like a soundcard with MIDI. This plugin can work with loaded soundfonts. Having 16 channels of soundfonts in virtual space is better because you can route the channels output through effects such as reverb and chorus or any kind of VST plugin effect you want. This kind of control is not possible when using a real soundcard. But it does not limit you to 16 channels, because you can load as many Musicblasters as you want, and have 32, 64 or more MIDI channels playing soundfonts. Naturally the limits of how many SoundFont channels you can play is defined by the physical limits of your operating system.
