2009/07/08 : Version 4.0.0 is OUT ! Only one change, the Info button on the Kanji tab, it allows you to get extra information on 1945 kanjis ATM (Courtesy of Oxford University). Zoom is still available with Long Click, you get info on validated drawed kanji or found romaji'ed kanji depending wether if it's the last thing you OK'd (am I clear there ? :o). New version is labelled Hinata Hyuga.

2009/07/07 : As you can see the project is technically dead, the main is reason is Google released iWnnIME on japanese platforms and this fully integrated IME is available if you jailbreak your phone : http://my.opera.com/wiz/blog/2009/06/16/how-to-install-japanese-ime-on-android The only axis of development I could follow is the OCR part, but i don't have the skills necessary to make it more efficient, nor the willingness.

Lliane Japan is a IME, an OCR and a Japanese learning game ! Hiragana/Katakana and Kanjis tabs allow you to type in a word in romaji and to get its translation in the chosen character set, you can also draw it and use a powerful Optical Recognition Algorithm to find it. The IME tab and the Light IME allows you to type in japanese in any Android Application. The Quizz tab allows you to learn Japanese with fun : Multiple Choice Questions, Flash Cards and Drawings.

Lliane Japan est un IME, un OCR et un jeu d'apprentissage du Japonais ! Les onglets Hiragana/Katakana et Kanjis vous permettent de saisir un mot en romaji et d'obtenir sa translation dans le syllabaire choisi. Vous pouvez aussi en dessiner un et le reconnaitre grace a un puissant Algorithme de Reconnaissance Optique. L'onglet IME et le Light IME permettent de saisir du texte en japonais dans n'importe quelle application Android. L'onglet Quizz vous permet d'apprendre le Japonais en vous amusant grace a des QCM, des Flash Cards et des Dessins.
