issue 101 ("Something went wrong - -32300 : transport error - HTTP stat...) commented on by techno...@gmail.com   -   I am experiencing the same problem with version 2.0.6 of the plugin and version 2.8.6 of Wordpress. However, I'm getting the error message whenever I even try to update the settings for the plugin. For what it's worth, the same error message occurs using the LJXP Remixed plugin. I don't know how much code the two projects share, but I thought that fact might be helpful. Thank you!

issue 128 ([comments_count] resolves to an invalid image URL) reported by konstan...@shemyak.com   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Using [comments_count] in the header/footer of the generated LJ comment. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Expected is to see the image with the comments count. Instead, the generated LJ comment contains the following (invalid) image url: http://<wordpress blog host>/wp-lj-comments.php?post_id=<post id> First, the blog is not installed in the root directory of the host. The URL should start with http://<wordpress blog host>/<installation dir>/. Second, even such URL ending with wp-lj-comments.php?post_id=<post id> does not exist. issue 57 (Feature Request: Multiple LJ-Based Crossposting) commented on by CDLauryl   -   I tried the same thing illumnavi did, way back when it was still Evan Broder's project, but since it didn't work, I shrugged and used it with LJ and left the clone un-updated. RSS to LJ doesn't do what I need, because I don't get comment notifications for RSS feeds, and those entries don't stay long-term. There is that desktop app, what was it...it crossposts your whole entry to all your blogs at once for you, but I wanted to have WP be my main blog with the others pointing to it. I'll probably remember the name later. I've got RSS on my MySpace front page, and I'm using a redirect I just found for Blogger/Blogspot, but for the LJ clones, I prefer posting excerpts with links back. I'd tweak it myself, but I'm still at the copy-paste stage of php ("Oh, this bit does *that*! I want it over here...")

issue 67 (Option to default to not crosspost) commented on by avsainsus   -   Было бы здорово иметь возможность назначить задержку постинга в LJ скажем на 14дней. Что бы поисковики проиндексировали сначала основной блог а после этого уже публиковать на зеркалах, что бы основной блог имел статус главного. It would be nice to have ability to appoint a delay in posting to LJm for example for 14days. What would the search engines to index the main blog first and then have to publish on the mirrors blog, that would be the main blog had the status of the main.

issue 124 (LJ entries expose media file names that are cloaked ) reported by chaircrusher   -   I use the Wordpress Audioplayer plugin (http://wpaudioplayer.com/) to add players to blog post. Audioplayer has an option to hide the URL of the audio file, so that they are 'stream only.' But LJXP rewrites that to the bare file URL, defeating Audioplayer's hiding. It would be great if there was an option to do this instead: replace the audio player with 'visit blog to listen to audio file' link.

issue 74 (Select LJ avatars as part of post?) commented on by dmoonfire   -   Well, actually pretty easily done. Somewhere around line 255, you have this: > if ($keep_going) { > // Persist our changes to the database and in our variables. > update_option('ljxp_userpics', $new_userpics); Add this between the if() and the // lines. > // Sort these so they come in a consistent format.^M > sort($new_userpics); Or use the patch I'm including. :) Then, to sort them, go into settings and re-download your avatars (you don't have to clear, just download again). They'll come in as sorted (you can confirm it by looking at the bottom of that screen or the post screen).

issue 74 (Select LJ avatars as part of post?) commented on by caity.thompson   -   Thanks for the reply, dmoonfire! I ended up uploading the lj-xp.php and the patch file to my DreamHost account and using SSH to apply the patch there and then uploaded the patched file to my WP host. Note: "Hunk #2 failed" so I had to make that change manually. Presumably due to differences in the versions of lj-xp.php around like 74 after ljxp_skip_cats. It works great now, thank you so much! Is there any way to make it display the Lj userpics in alphabetical order in the dropdown, instead of displaying them in the order they were uploaded to LJ? Even LJ itself displays them alphabetically, and it makes it easier to find the userpic you want when posting.

issue 74 (Select LJ avatars as part of post?) commented on by dmoonfire   -   Depends on if you have your WP sitting on a Linux machine or not. I use DreamHost, so it is fairly easy. You SSH into the machine, go into the appropriate directory (wp-content/plugins/lj/, or whatever the plugin directory with lj-xp.php. Then run this: patch < /full/path/to/your/ljxp-select-avatars.patch It should run cleanly and patch up your LJ. Once you are there, you'll need to go into settings and do some stuff there. For a Windows machine? I happen to use GnuWin32 stuff, which also has patch: http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/patch.htm You could look for "patch" or "diff" tools via Google search depending on your OS/skill level. The patch file is a text file (you can open it in Notepad++ or probably even Notepad). The lines that start with "+" means add that line, the lines starting with "-" means remove that line (obviously without the + or -). You could even manually make the changes, but that takes time.

issue 74 (Select LJ avatars as part of post?) commented on by caity.thompson   -   Ok, I feel kinda dumb for asking, but how do I install a .patch file? I'd love this functionality in this plugin. It's kept me from using this one for a long time (I use Live+Press instead *because* it lets me select LJ icons from within WP), but I'd also like to use the Livejournal Comments Import plugin, and that one requires that I use LJ-XP to crosspost to LJ.

issue 121 (Crosspost if post matches all categories) commented on by strawberryutopia   -   By the looks of it, the issue is with line 483 etc.: foreach(wp_get_post_cats(1, $post_id) as $cat) { if(in_array($cat, $options['copy_cats'])) { $do_crosspost = 1; break; // decision made and cannot be altered, fly on } } This is the part of the code that checks if the post has a single allowed category. It checks the post categories against all the allowed categories, sets a "do_crosspost" variable if it finds one and then exits the loop straight away. How I'd like it to work is assume it's allowed to post from the beginning, check the post categories against the allowed categories. Then, if it finds a post category that is not in the allowed categories, set the "do_crosspost" variable to 0 and exit the loop. I understand that some people prefer how it does it right now, so it would be a good idea to let users choose which they'd prefer in the options.

issue 121 (Crosspost if post matches all categories) reported by strawberryutopia   -   "Any post that has at least one of the above categories selected will be crossposted." The way privacy settings for my blog are set up, this is completely unacceptable, and I am unable to use this plugin. My privacy settings mean that any post from the category "Private Stuff" are only visible by myself and registered users. Except... these posts have other categories too. So, rather than all posts with at least one of the categories being posted, I would like to see an option to enable crossposting only if the post contains all of the above categories. Would this be possible to implement in the next update?

issue 74 (Select LJ avatars as part of post?) commented on by dmoonfire   -   Since I got bored and really wanted this, I decided to write a version of this one too. It lets the user download a list of avatars/userpics from the settings screen (including clearing them), and then lets the user select the userpic while posting. It also will update the userpic if the user changes it and does an "update post". If they select "Use default", it will clear the avatar. I considered downloading the list every time the screen was displayed, but storing the userpics as an array in options seemed like the most performant version. Giving an invalid userpic name doesn't cause any errors, LJ seems to ignore it, so even if the user removes a userpic, it won't break anything.

issue 73 (Option for friends-only on private) commented on by dmoonfire   -   Since it was a low priority but I want it, I decided to do a little work on this. This is a patch that lets you post pages even if they are marked as private. In those cases, it uses the LJ settings below so you can private it on the WordPress and make it friends-only on the LJ (which is normally how I want to post friends-only). I tested it by changing the state between WP public and private, changing just the title or body, and changing the LJ visibility. So, you can also make it private on both WP and LJ. To configure it, I added a new option in the config section (ljxp_delete_private). It defaults to the same behavior as before (delete private posts), but you can turn it off and let it not delete the posts. I tried to match coding style and everything. I did encounter one quirk though. For some reason, the lines like this: != 0 didn't work on my 2.8 installation. When I switched them to this: != "0" things started working again. Also, on the second line, it looked like a typo with the command ('true != 0)' verses 'true) != 0'). Not sure if that impacted anyone else or something about my own host, but I think using the quotes will continue to work for everyone.

This was the initial transfer of posts to the LJ. 2. half the entries posted fine, then I get the error: "Something went wrong - 302 : Client error: Can't edit post from requested journal" 3. The error happens every time i hit "Update options and crosspost all wordpress entries" What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I epxect all my wordpress entires to be posted, and not receive this error. What version of the plugin are you using? What version of WordPress? 2.0.6 Please provide any additional information below. the error does not give me any indication of where to even begin troubleshooting this. I made no attempt to edit existing posts, this was a fresh install of ljxp and the first time crossposting to this livejournal.

issue 114 (Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal e...) reported by mattb...@gmail.com   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. I changed my LJ password so it wasn't crossposting, so I went to the plugin settings to update it. It gave an error at the bottom regarding categories : Category Selection Select which categories should be crossposted Fatal error: Call to undefined function write_nested_categories() in /home/mbaya/public_html/matt/wp-content/plugins/lj_crosspost.php on line 455 2. I tried de-activating this plugin and reactivating it. 3. Got "Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error." and it wont activate the plugin :( What version of the plugin are you using? What version of WordPress? LiveJournal Crossposter 2.0 Wordpress 2.7.1 Please provide any additional information below. Not sure what else I can provide. I have maybe 20 categories, nothing fancy.

issue 104 ("Something went wrong - 302 : Client error: Can't edit post ...) commented on by damgoodespresso   -   Comment 4 by doug.munsinger, Today (moments ago) I ran into this deleting posts in wordpress AFTER having already removed them from livejournal "something went wrong - 302 : Client error: Can't edit post from requested journal" wordpress version 2.7.1, plugin version LiveJournal Crossposter Remix 2.1. Disabling the plugin, deleting the posts and then reenabling the plugin worked to remove the posts.

issue 113 (Add possibility to use the content of custom fields in heade...) reported by letisun   -   My real problem is that i use custom fields in my posts for thumbnail URLs. Because that's the main thing in my theme - monochrome gallery. It will be great, if u could add tags kinda [custom="thumbnail"] in the header/footer editor. Thanks.
