lib-ray-video-tools
Lib-Ray will be a standardized format for releasing high-definition, high-profile video on fixed media (such as flash drives or optical media) without DRM, but with other features such as menus, multiple language support, commentaries, and metadata for archival use. It's "DRM-free high-definition video you can put in a box".
This project will provide a variety of tools for creating, checking, and watching Lib-Ray videos, including:
A custom Python-based player using Gstreamer and Webkit (Technically a web browser, though it's specialized for this purpose. It will eliminate missing features and performance problems with existing web browsers used as players).
A PyGTK-based GUI wizard for mastering Lib-Ray releases.
A validator script to test Lib-Ray releases for conformance and to measure video quality relative to the master video sources.
The specification documents for Lib-Ray media themselves
Boilerplate HTML, CSS, and Javascript elements used in creating Lib-Ray releases
