This project aims to provide tools and knowledge to create low cost lecture capturing solutions. Computer Vision is used to analyze the scene and detect the presenter. This information is then transcribed to director instructions. The director software is responsible for capturing the scene as smooth as possible. The final step is editing the video or controlling a physical camera based on the director's instructions.

This project has a research nature. It currently contains rough bits of code to demonstrate the concepts, and a wiki with all knowledge we have gathered.

The project was initiated by SURFnet and developed by Egeniq.

If you would like to read a short introductory article, the Egeniq blog has a post about this project.

Het SURFnet/Kennisnet Innovatieprogramma wordt financieel mogelijk gemaakt door het Ministerie van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap.
