Latrine is a free (and incomplete) fork of FIGlet or TOIlet, written purely in Python. In case you don't know FIGlet nor TOIlet, these are programs that create large characters out of ordinary screen characters

(This is meant to be viewed in a monospaced font.) Latrine can create characters in many different styles and can kern these characters together. The outputs is generally reminiscent of the sort of "signatures" many people like to put at the end of e-mail and BBS posts.
