I don't know that it honestly counts, but for the longest time I used http://dev.baywifi.com/latex/. It's just a textarea with a compile button, though, so not nearly as useful.

Has anyone tried SpartanTeX? http://tex.uncg.edu/

Comment by peter.fa...@gmail.com, Oct 22, 2011

Yes, I have used SpartanTeX quite a bit. I liked it a lot, and dare I say, I think it is(was) the better system to use with Google Docs. It does need a few extra features though to make it really good. I wrote to the developer to ask him to include some extra fonts -- like MinionPro? -- and this he did quite promptly. But since then any other requests have met with no reply. So on-going support is the problem. For instance, what it is not doing at present (that I can see) is performing an includegraphics -- when it used to do that quite well. For this reason (among others) I'm not using it presently.

could give code.google.com/p/colabtex a try... it is in a working testphase right now and can be used by anyone... includegraphics functions as well after uploading your resource, and the best thing it is easy to use and really collaborative!
