Labyrinth Mind-Mapping

Labyrinth is a lightweight mind-mapping tool for the GNOME desktop. It is written in Python and uses cairo for its rendering. It is intended to be as light and intuitive as possible, but still provide a wide range of powerful features.

2011/04/24 ➠ 0.5rc1 and 0.5rc2

Release candidates 1 and 2 of version 0.5 are now available.

New features:

  • Optional bezier curves instead of straight line connections
  • Experimental Outline view
  • Alignment of Thoughts


We are happy to announce the release of version 0.4.0 (codename 'Fixme').

New features and bug fixes:

Needed fixes for release 0.4.0.


Version 0.3 (codename 'Beautiful Insane') is now available. This is the third release in the 'Out of Nothing' series, which will result (at some point) in a V1.0 release.

New features include:

  • Exporting maps as images
  • 'Further Info' available on all thoughts, for when you want to expand on an idea or add notes to a thought
  • Massive rework of the interface
  • Much improved handling of input in text thoughts
  • Cool new icon
