Krillion StockCheck is a free consumer service on the web to find real-time local pricing and availability for products carried at the major big box retailers in the United States. Intel Mash Maker is currently available only as a Firefox extension, but, there are plans to eventually port it to Internet Explorer and Safari. Mash Maker widgets have a simple API such that you can define your widgets with three files. One XML file to configure your widget and two HTML files. One HTML file is for the user settings for your widget. The other HTML file is the actual widget. One of the unique aspects of Mash Maker is the separation of the widgets from the rules used to bind them to data on the web pages users visit. This widget demonstrates how you can bind Krillion's StockCheck service as a Mash Maker widget to product data on the pages you visit during your normal web browsing experience.
