Overview of Koblo Studio Release 1.0The Purpose of Koblo StudioThe Koblo Studio is used to create project data which resides both locally and/or on koblo.com paid accounts. Projects created are available for sharing, remixing, and collaborating with other users through koblo.com. Koblo Studio ties into premium accounts created on Koblo.com, generating content for the commerce engine. Koblo Studio plays a role in a three tier structure with the Koblo Widget and Koblo.com. The project tracks can be summed and exported directly to koblo.com accounts providing users with quick and effective ways to distribute their work. When double clicked, the pan value can be entered manually for precise positioning since the bar is too small to be exact when dragging it. The plug-in window has a toolbar at the top and content frame for plug-in below. The plug-in window must be at least 240 pixels wide. If the plug-in is more narrow than this, it will not fill the entire window. The plug-in window must be at least 64 pixels high. IF the plugin is not this tall, it will not fill the entire window. Plug-in ToolbarThe plug-in toolbar consists of the following elements: #Power button. (Bypass) #Preset set buttons (A / B / A->B / B<-A). To switch between 2 preset sets, and copy a preset from one to the other. #Shift to file-browser view pressing this button scrolls the plug-in content to the right so the file browser becomes visible. Plug-in File Browser[[Image:Plug-In Window Filebrowser.jpg]] The file browser has a top-bar with five buttons and a file window (below), the user select a preset by clicking on it. Presets can be organized in folders, factory presets are color coded and can't be saved. In the root of the file browser is a virtual folder which is named "Factory". This holds the factory presets (which may or may not be organized further into sub folders). First time a plug-in is loaded the default preset is loaded if present. The name of the defult preset is always "default" File-browser size: the file-browser is always 240 pixels wide, the hight depend on the hight of the plug-in. #Prev button loads the previous preset, or first preset if none is loaded, not going into subfolders. #Next button loads the next preset, or first preset if none is loade, not going into subfolders. #Save button save an already saved preset. If a factory or no preset is currently loaded, this is equivalent of pressing the Save As button. #Save As button save a user preset under a new name. Opens a standard OS save as dialog. #Delete erase the current selected preset, after presenting the user a way to cancel ("Are you sure you want to delete preset x? Yes / No"). #(Nice to have)if supported by the plug-in Clicking on the "MIDI" will open a midi menu containing midi setup and CC features, Next to the MIDI menu is a little midi input display. Become a Producer and Make Money with Koblo#There is a link on the front page of Koblo.com "Become A Producer" #When a user clicks on the link she/ he is taken to the "Become A Producer" page where it is explained how producers gets 50% of the 4.99 USD fee that 'aspiring' producers/ musicians have to pay for downloading the project for remixing and contribution. For a producer to be able to make projects available for download she/he needs to buy online storage space from Koblo. When a user buys online storage space her/his role will be updated to Producer When a user becomes a Producer there will be a link on the users profile called "Projects". Songs made available will have a link called "Remix This Song" Remix Songs#There is a link on the front page of Koblo.com "Remix songs" #When a user clicks on the link she/ he is taken to the "How to Remix Song" page where it is explained how to become 'aspiring' producers/ musicians ##The user types in credit card info. ##The user selects the amount of money to transfer to her/ his account #All users on koblo.com can find songs they can "remix". ##All songs on koblo.com will have a "remix" tag if there is a project for them ##User can search for projects based on Genre and Project 'searchable criteria' #When a user has found and previewed a song to "remix" and want to download it he click on the download button #The terms and condition page is presented to the user #The user click OK and 4.99 USD is charged from the users account. #The project file is downloaded to the users HD #Now the user can makes his own version of the song. #The use of the end product depend on the license Commerce Transaction PointsSpace is used on koblo.com for Project Collaboration |
