This project seeks to develop a framework for creating custom blocks for an iconic programming environment. The main goal is to develop an iconic language that helps students to build an understanding of programming concepts and a mental model for the structure of procedural languages. The second main goal is to provide a tool for educators to create 'libraries' for teaching specific concepts. Initial work is focusing on the structure of blocks and developing a core set of blocks in Java for demonstration and research. The current demo build can be found here with instructions in the Wiki.
