jTranslatR - Translate your web application

jTranslatR aims at helping web developers to internationalize their cool web applications quickly and easily.

jTranslatR is basically a JSP/AJAX web application which provides a cool web interface and an easy access for the translators to use. The web developers probably do not need this if they will do the entire translation themselves since they already have full access.

jTranslatR is intended to be used with TrAJAX.

But it can also be used in any other setting that you may need. You can use it to export the translations into any format desired. If your format is not supported just let us know in the Discussion group or implement it yourself and get the credits ;)

jTranslatR is powered by DWR and Javolution

License

  • You are allowed to use and modify the jTranslatR web-app in any way you like/need/want. No commercial restrictions.
  • You are NOT obliged to anything but we do beg you to at least provide a link to jTranslatR if possible (http://code.google.com/p/jtranslatr/)
  • we will also make more banners in the future, for now here's a few:
  • Ofcourse we will not refuse your DONATIONS either ;)

Completed TODO

  • Show completed progress in form of a bar
  • Show only non-completed items

TODO

All these items are relatively simple to add

  • Add the ability to introduce new languages
  • Add/Remove any item (admin only)
  • Member Roles and language accesses
  • Break the content into pages
  • Once pages allow the user the save the entire page (right now users have to save each item separately)
  • Undo for Save in both views
  • Undo for the Mark as complete in the "only non-completed" view
  • Complete history is being stored but there is, as of yet, no way to show it to the user and allow him/her to select some previous value
  • MAIN TODO: Extend the application for public use on http://www.jTranslatR.com

Screenshot

Green fields are completed.
Light red fields fields are not completed.
Bright red fields are being modified and thus are different from the latest value stored in the Database.

The percentage information updates every time a user marks an item as completed or not completed and is always in users view, even when he/she scrolls.
