jThinker is a free software, so everyone can use it! Moreover, it's so free that everyone can develop it as well!

However, to use it effectively you should know the Theory of Constraints ideas, without them jThinker is just a tool for drawing boxes. So, here I list several TOC books that I value high myself.

  • Eliyahu M. Goldratt. Theory of Constraints. The fundamental book on application TOC to manufacturing processes. Includes the reference of thinking processes diagrams and all other stuff you'd better know for effective use of jThinker.

WhatsNew_0_3_3

jThinker 0.3.3, Feb 04 2009

The major improvements since WhatsNew_0_3_1 are:

  • Node grouping.

  • Automatic un-overlapping of nodes in the diagram.
  • Export to JPG and PNG files.

  • Assumptions are now allowed on all diagrams

Several broken things were fixed:

  • Major rewrite of save/load of files. Now this part seems to be error-prone
  • Conflict resolution diagram allows the lightning-like lines
  • Assumptions are allowed for all kinds of diagrams
