Easier Wiki Editing

If you expect to be doing a significant amount of wiki editing, you may find it useful to install one of the Firefox plugins that allow you to use an external editor to edit text. E.g Mozex

... and if you're a Vim user, you might be interested in the MoinMoin.vim syntax file syntax file, that does a fairly decent job of highlighting wiki text.

Wiki SVN

If you plan on editing a large number of pages, you may find it easier to use SVN to check out a local copy of the wiki pages, edit them there, and them commit them back to the repository.

The TagReference Page

The table of tags in the TagReference page is a compilation of the first sentence in each "Description" section of the Tag(tagname) pages. If you change the description of a tag, don't worry about migrating the description to the TagReference page by hand. Instead, run the build_tag_reference.bash script, which will update the table for you.
