Comment by TSPiel...@gmail.com, Jan 10, 2011

novian.biz if you are close to the USA I bought mine for $218 at these guys and it is unlocked. They should be able to ship internationally as well.

Also for apps and other stuff you should be able to test on the Android sdk and then post in forums and we can test these apps / other stuff not kernel specific.

Comment by rajesh.d...@gmail.com, Apr 6, 2011

I have a samsung jet and very much excited to migrate the os to Android. But just want to confirm this once again that doing so I will loose basic GSM calling function, is that correct??

Comment by emailme...@gmail.com, Apr 18, 2011

rajesh, to the best of my belief from jetdroid FAQ jetdroid is initiated as dual boot. meaning that when you start up your phone, you'll have to option of booting into jetdroid or touchwiz (original samsung OS). i dont think you'll loose your basic GSM calling function permanently, however from the jetdroid status above a lot of the features are not available yet in the jetdroid environment and yes GSM is one of the feature that's still work-in-progress.

now unfortunately by the time this jetdroid project finishes, i'd be switching to HTC Sensation on SenseUI 3.0, but i much? appreciate developers devoting their free-time to work on this project as to my samsung's touchwiz os is just P.O.S.
