I'm not clear about your problem actually.. however normally JConnect do not send users 2 exApp when it's syncing You can logged into ExApps from existing Joomla account without doing sync.... (try login via JConnect on Elgg) thanks... |

ok i just thought the users are also created at ex app end also. i am using joomla login and connected elgg with it. in the jconnect component it says allow incoming and allow outgoing. so i was thinking it will allow users at both ends. if this is the case then let me know what I can do to create the same users in elgg. Thanks Niraj Shah |

hi.. Shah... you don't need to create users @ both end... OK here's the stuff.. For Existing Joomla users ---------------------------- just goto elgg and try login using 'Login with JConnect' then it'll automatically create user in Elgg.. For Existing Elgg users.. ----------------------------------- just do a user-sync... then login each user @ elgg for once (using elgg login-box) - that'll send the password to joomla(we cannot get the cleartext-password from the db) then u can login that users from joomla with normal joomla login... After that ----------------------- whenever u create a user in elgg of joomla they are available in both ends..(JConnect will take care about automatic user-creation) NOTE: when you login into Elgg just use 'Login with JConnect' option... thanks... |
