This project is defunct. I no longer have time to work on it, with recent work load. These sources are provided as a reference on how to implement those features that were completed, and to be inspiration to others, but does not represent a usable library.

Formerly Planned Features:

• Pure Java implementation: no external dependencies
• Efficient Java call stack
• Traditional Smalltalk syntax and semantic behaviours
• Direct interoperation with Java
• Very easy binding of new Java types to Chatty classes.
• Very small; goal is to produce a single JAR under 100 kB containing the core compiler and entire standard library.
