Strawman for AtomPub proposal
Introduction
In an effort to move this process forward, I have made the proposal that we use the Atom Publishing Protocol to help define what we are trying to accomplish.
Here is a strawman to draft up API ideas.
Strawman API Introduction
The crux of this proposal is:
- Use the Atom Publishing Protocol (RFC 5023) for communication between Jangle and external clients
- Communication between the Jangle core and the backend connectors will be via HTTP REST (for this phase, at any rate, for consistency and simplicity) and responses will be sent in JSON
- For this phase, the primary use case will be the DLF ILS API recommendations, although by no means limited to this.
