jalview

Multiple Sequence Alignment Editor

Jalview is a multiple alignment editor written in Java. It is used widely in a variety of web pages (e.g. the EBI Clustalw server and the Pfam protein domain database) but is available as a general purpose alignment editor. See www.jalview.org for more details.

This project was added to Google Code as part of a Google Summer of Code 2010 project to add RNA support to Jalview. For this project Lauren Lui will add support for RNA secondary structure alignment annotation, embed RNA secondary structure viewer, and add the ability to import existing RNA sequences and alignments from the Rfam database.
