Hour Tracker is a Tomcat based web-application to track hours across multiple departments and projects. Functionality is built in for role based management. Users can be assigned to a payroll clerk and team leader. Payroll clerks are able to access hours, team leaders are able to see hours and status reports, and most settings are customizable via the administration menu. Reporting is done via the BIRT report engine, which is integrated into the project. Logins can be done either through the local database or LDAP authentication. E-mail reminders can also be sent out automatically with SMTP to remind users to input their hours.
