What Version of iTiVo? Version 1.7.7b3 (1.7.7b3) What Version of MacOS X? version 10.6.1 Build 10B504 What download format did you select? Tested with Multiple (prefer Quicktime (h.264 10mbps) w/ commercial skip What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Connecting to Tivo in itivo 2. Selecting show(s) either queuing or just clicking download Please provide any additional information below. I understand this MUST be a fairly individual problem; I have a Tivo HD in Australia, using wireless G adapter on tivo, Netgear Router and MacBook. All that happens is after clicking on files to transfer the estimated time remaining climbs and then the caption next to the show name changes to "Show Name (waiting for tivo)" Thank you so much for your time. (I have rebooted the tivo multiple times as well as the router and mac) No other device on network is trying to interact with tivo. I have used Tivo Desktop on PC's with success, and pyTivoX works with no issues.

I am getting the same issue as the above posting I am on MAC OSX 10.6.2. I suspect its a common problem here in Australia with the changes Tivo Australia have made to their software effectively disabling any downloading ability i.e transferring from tivo to the mac. Supposedly toast 10 will work with their tivo transfer utility it does not on my system happy to supply more info if required

I get the exact same problems but I haven't seen any solutions on any forums yet.

Same here... Running latest 10.6.2 using a Tivo Series 2 in the U.S. Both iTivo and Tivo Transfer (from Roxio Toast) are giving me the same errors. They will start the download for about a minute and then this happens...

Same issue here. TiVo series 3 (Australia) with OSX 10.6.2. Happy to provide further info if required.

It's not that individual. I have the same problem. I've tried plugged my Mac in through the ethernet and turned off wifi and the same problem occurs, so it can't be a wifi issue. I can display my photos or listen to itunes via the Tivo, and iTivo will display the list of programs on the Tivo, but it will not download them.

TiVo Australia have just updated their firmware (now version 11.3b3-01-2-663) and this problem has resolved for me. Your milage may vary.

Yes this happens to me, in Australia Tivo Series 3/HD. But it's only if you start trying to download a channel 7 network show. (Channel 7, 70, or 72). As soon as you attempt this, iTivo is forever waiting. And stops any other transfers from taking place, even if you cancel it. If you reboot the TiVo, and start transferring any other channel content, it works fine. And transfers fine. It's an issue with Channel 7 stuff, and this was fixed in the official software for Mac with toast etc. I'm not sure what they did. I think 2.8 desktop software on Windows fixed some of this too.

Bummer... I was hoping after all this time there would be a solution. Same problem, here in the states. I will say I had some better luck when I downloaded the programs to an external drive rather than to my MacBook directly. I'm trying to get a 1 hour program right now and it's telling me it will take 90 hours. It will likely be 90 minutes but even that is too long. Have the iTiVo developers had anything to say about this?

don't know that my problem is exactly related but... i had the same message, "waiting for tivo." then i noticed that the TiVo ip address field was blank. i selected my tivo from the drop-down box and it put the right ip address in the field, then everything worked after that.

I am also getting the waiting for Tivo issue with iTiVo-1.7.6 and Mac OS 10.6 - it seems to be erratic as I was able to stream Family Guy which was recorded from 7mate fine but as soon as I tried to stream 7 News it got stuck on waiting for Tivo and then I couldn't stream any content from any channel. I rebooted the Tivo and Mac and it still wouldn't stream anything?

I just downloaded 1.7.6 on Lion against my Tivo HD, and cannot download anything. I get the "waiting for Tivo" until it gives up, for every show. I use pyTivo and Tivo Desktop Plus (under Win7 on Parallels) successfully. I love the UI of iTivo, just can't get it to work.

I managed to overcome my issue by shutting down and unplugging the Tivo from the wall, then reconnecting. It does seem to have something to do with transferring Channel 7 using iTivo

i am getting the same problem and looking at the log i am getting a bunch of 2012-11-09 13:20:55 curl++ timeout: xx currentFileSize: yyyyyy fullFileSize:zzzzzzz i am in the usa with itivo Version 1.7.7b3 (1.7.7b3) mac os x 10.7.4 it is a 2 hour show with a 14 gig file i suspect that files over 7 or 8 gig hang off and on until it finishes. it will wait for tivo then the size will update then wait for tivo. a suggestion: in the next version try downloading the raw file and decoding it locally or have an option to deconde .tivo files downloaded by toast

I am getting this problem now - and it does seem to be related to Australian channel 7 shows - have succesfully transferred a bunch of ABC shows - but the channel 7 one never gets past the waiting for tivo message - eventually gives an applescript error. Why was this issue closed and status set to invalid.
