iReader is a offline ebook reading application on Android platform. It supports TXT, CHM, PDB(EReader, Mobipocket), UMD(popular Chinese ebook format), HTML and Image files. iReader is not a open source project as so far, but you can get free version from Android market. And here you can submit any defect, requirement. Please start from wiki to know about how to use iReader.

A special version for Android 1.5

Since some font APIs are only supported from Android 1.6. The 1.0.9.5 normal version(includes Free and Full) can not work on Android 1.5. If you try it, You will meet Force Closed dialog. So I remove Font File function and release a special version for Android 1.5. Except font function, all other functions are available. We still has free version and full version for Android 1.5. You can search iReader Free for Android 1.5 or iReader for Android 1.5 keyword on Android market. But I still strongly recommend you upgrade your cell phone to at least Android 1.6. The 1.5 is too old.

What's update in 1.0.9.5?

• Won't support Android 1.5 since the Typeface.createFromFile API
• Real book page flip
• Support font file(TTF, TTC), Please set the font directory in "General Settings" and then you can find the supported font in "Text Font Settings". Please see here
• Support auto-scrolling in cover mode. The new line content will cover the old ones instead of scrolling screen.
• Support separately set screen brightness for Day theme and Night theme
• Show battery with percent number
• Remove "Delete All" menu in File Browser

What's difference between Free version and Full version?

There is only one difference between Free and Full version. Full version will support free and DRM protected Mobipocket and EReader ebooks. These two books are both PDB format. Free version only support Palm PDB which is standard PDB format. You can get more details from here

Where to get iReader?

Please install or update iReader from Android market.

Note: If you installed free version, and now you want install full version, please uninstall free version manually first to avoid failure.
