Compiled binaries of bricktool and iPatcher

Details

What are the iPhone-elite lockdownd tools?

This is a collection of iphone-compiled tools that allow an individual to easily install the iPhone-elite patch and ensure that brick mode is disabled. The following components are included in the current release:

-bricktool

-iPatcher

More information regarding individual tools may be found at the iPhone-elite wiki.

How to use the iPhone-elite lockdownd tools:

Prerequisites:
  1. The BSD Subsystem (patricularly tar and gzip)
  2. A way to copy files to your phone
  3. A way to run commands in a terminal on your phone

Steps:

  1. Copy ipe-lockdownd-tools.tgz to the root directory ( / ) on your
iPhone.
  • In a terminal, type the following lines:
  • cd /
    				cp /usr/libexec/lockdownd /usr/libexec/lockdownd.bak
    				tar -xvzf ipe-lockdownd-tools.tgz
    				cd /ipetools
    				./ipatcher -a
  • Reboot your iPhone.
  • In a terminal, type the following lines:
  • cd /ipetools ./bricktool

If you experience either success or failure, please post a note on the iphone-elite wiki. If you can add details such as version of lockdownd patched, iphone firmware version, and baseband firmware version it would be extremely helpfull. In the case of a problem, a description of the problem would be nice as well.

No succes, both programs run fine and say they have been succesful. But my iPhone version 1.1.1 keeps saying "no service". I'v tried everything(?), from downgrading, upgrading, virginizing... but nothing helps. The iPhone worked the first 2 weeks after unlocking OTB 1.1.1 but then suddenly stopped... no service.

Comment by abetraverso, Nov 21, 2007

GREAT SUCCESS for me... worked simply and both phones started picking up service..

Hey guys, it ran and completed successfully, but no luck unbricking. My phone is 1.1.1 OTB running 1.02 w Modem Firmware 03.14.08_G : No WIFI (Greyed out and disabled), Bad IMEI (00499).

BTW I had a very similar experience to henkdehaan - unlocked fine but suddenly stopped :-/

Comment by havokx13x, Nov 27, 2007

Both programs ran beautifully. But now I need to wait to get to a place that has service. I'm cursed with no service in the house. I'll update on if/when it works.

Comment by VirTERM, Nov 27, 2007

It worked great. My phone is factory 1.1.1 with IPSF accidently updated to 1.1.2. I went down to 1.1.1 and use jailbreakme.com to install ssh and get into the file sysestem. Version: 1.1.1 (3A109A); Firmware 04.02.13_G Thank you VirTERM

Is it possible that this can help my situation: One of my iPhones only gets sevice from provider A and not B. With provider A the phone works 100%, but with provider B it searches for the network some seconds before it says "No service".... My other iPhone gets service from both providers, so it must be something with the phone...

Also, I have unlcoked with AnySIM 1.1. Is it just to run bricktool as described without doing anything else?

Comment by p.lansb, Dec 01, 2007

Full success here! You guys deserve a medal! Here the gory details: iPhone OTB 1.1.2-US (4.2.013G baseband) downgraded to 1.1.1 FW, unlocked, anysimed, upgraded 1.1.2 bricked with anysim 1.1 and than restored again to 1.1.1 and BB 3.9 with BBdowngrader. After one week as an ipod touch I came across these thread that restored the phone function following your instructions. BTW, what about the 1.1.2 upgrade now?

Again, many thanks for the hard work, maybe you should get a paid job at Apple.. ;-)

Hey Guys, I have problem "No Wifi" Could somebody help me.

Comment by p.lansb, Dec 02, 2007

Further to my previous comment, here is an "errata corrige" for the records. Original BaseBand? was 4.02.13_G. After running BBdowngrader (1.1.) I now have 03.14.08_G.

iPhone still going stronger than ever!

Comment by b.st...@21torr.com, Dec 17, 2007

Did not work for me

AT+XSIMSTATE=1 +XSIM: 2 +XLOCK: "PN",2,4,"PU",4,4,"PP",4,4,"PC",4,4,"PS",4,4

"PN",2 says signatur check failed... seems that the seczone is reaaally fucked up by this old anysim shit.

Comment by lordbeleza, Dec 18, 2007

No luck on 1.1.2 and 04.02.13_G

Comment by skumancer, Dec 30, 2007

Ok, I don't know if this will help but here is my situation:

I bought an iPhone on day one. Upgraded up to 1.1.1. I unlocked 1.1.1 because I had to come and visit my parents in Central America. First time I put the SIM from the provider here (Cable and Wireless) it worked without a hitch. Yesterday the phone crashed and I had to reboot. After reboot, it doesn't acquire signal. I get 1 bar (the first one) and then stays like that. Sometimes it goes into "No Signal", but most of the time stays with 1 bar.

I can't make calls or change network providers. If I install my AT&T SIM, it gets signal (roaming) and works for calls (roaming, which is fucking expensive).

Any idea if using this would help me?

Thanks,

Ricardo

Did not work for me neither.

updated 1.0.2 to 1.1.1, unlocked with anySIM 1.1 and getting No Service. I did everything as it is said, and it went fine and with success output. But I am still getting No Service.

Previously I updated to 1.1.1, when it failed to mobile network, I did downgrade and restore again to 1.0.2. Then unlocked with Unlock.app, Unlock was successful, but still - No Service. Then again restored and updated clean to 1.1.1 and now I used this patch. BUT, no success so far.

Comment by nipponese, Jan 15, 2008

No luck. This phone was 1.0 out of box, activated (worked fine), standard iTunes upgrad to 1.1.1 which caused "No Service." Then, Jailbroken, upgraded to 1.1.2, Jailbroken again (still No Service), then ran the tool.

Btw, there has never been a SIM unlock tool run on this machine. Modem Firmware: 04.02.13_G.

Omg,you guys are great. It all worked like a charm on my gf's 1.1.2 OTB iphone (downgraded to 1.1.1 and jailbreaked). No longer is it just a simple expensive itouch... :-)

Comment by sm...@kulkarnicorp.com, Feb 03, 2008

This was fantastic! Here's the phone's history: 1.1.2OTB HW Unlocked but crashed during ienew. Swapped commboard into another unlocked phone, completed testpoint, swapped commboard back. No IMEI, ICCID or Wifi on phone, upgrade to 1.1.2, got wifi, ICCID and IMEI back. Downgraded to 1.1.1, jailbreak, oktoprep, up to 1.1.2, anysim.... No Service, No Carrier, Network unavailable. Tried going up to 1.1.3, then back to 1.1.1, downgraded baseband, unlocked with anysim, No Service, No Carrier, Network unavailable. Downgraded to 1.02, downgrade baseband to 3.014, unlock with anysim 1.02, No Service, No Carrier, Network unavailable. GRRR. Upgrade to 1.1.1, jailbreak, unlock with Anysim 1.1, No Service, No Carrier, Network unavailable. Copied over patched lockdown posted on Hackintosh, No Service, No Carrier, Network unavailable. Finally, ran ipetools to patch lockdown, reboot, ran bricktool, full Service, full Reception, Network available, phone fixed. Keep up the good work, you guys are amazing!

I had a OTB 1.0.2 which I activated with the old proc of iunlock. Worked very good. I decided to go to 1.1.4, I re virginized BB, restored 1.1.4 from itunes and used ziphone 2.5c to activate, jailbrake and unlock. All was fine... phone worked fine like 10 days... then... it lost signal, and now I show the "no service". I did a lot of things, none seemed to work.

I tried this, but now luck:

# ./ipatcher -a i? Performing the lockdownd patch e? could not match file to a known signature i? Lockdownd patch failed

Got that error I don't know what is it.

Any ideas?

Any tool I can use to cjeck my baseband and see id it has issues or not?

I'm now on 1.1.4 (4A102) and baseband is: 04.04.05_G

Thanks!
