Album3.plist

On my 3 iphones i found this file:

/System/Library/Frameworks/PhotoLibrary.framework/Album3.plist

Inside it there was a dotmac account and password:

UserName: grape01

Password: 123456

Well.. That happened to be a real account. There also were a few emails on that account from an apple software engineer.

I changed the password. And I replied to the test email...

But now i wonder:

  1. what was that for ?
  2. why it was there ?
  3. what will happen now ? :)

UPDATE

Maybe nobody read this Wiki... Or maybe nobody thought about it... But I found out that there were also: grape02 and grape03 accounts :) With the same password obviously.

Now i changed all 3 accounts password. And I still wonder...

was there anything on its .MAC disk?

Comment by legallyl...@gmail.com, Nov 3, 2007

doesnt work for any other numbers.

They might have disabled it.

Could be an apple test account?

Maybe they're going to create some sort of click to upload to .mac application on the iphone later down the track and they're testing it with this test account..??

They'll find out that its been changed and reset it soon enough.

There already is a .mac upload function since August. You can upload photos to your .mac web gallery.

When you go to an Apple Store there are iPhones for you to try, right? well these iPhones are in some kind of demo mode, where you can check a demo mail account and other stuff like sms. Maybe this is where demo data is stored, or was.
