issue 17 (iphone camera shutter wont open) commented on by boogityofdoom   -   This just happened to me, too. I'm running a jailbroken iPhone 3GS with 3.0. I took pictures with my phone yesterday. I synced the pictures to my laptop and then went to take another picture. That's when the bug appeared for me. If I rotate the phone, the icons rotate. I can go home with no problem. I can open the camera roll. I am able to switch from camera to video, but only if I let the application sit open for a minute or so. One thing to note, the icon to go to the camera roll still has the last picture I took even though that photo is no longer on the phone. I'm not sure if this is normal behavior or now. This could have nothing to do with the jb and more to do with something funky in the photo syncing process. That's just a guess though.

issue 11 (QuickPWN 2.2.1 affects Wi-Fi) reported by shinnawy   -   I know how busy you are with redsn0w, but I'm hoping that you could find the time to take a look at this issue, I'm not even a 100% sure its because of QuickPWN. But I recall a bug like this that affected the release date of the PWNage tool back in the days. I sincerely appreciate any input on this matter :) What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. iPhone 2G on 2.0 (Pwned) 2. Firmware 2.1 or 2.2 (clean restore) 3. Run QuickPwn specifying the following options (Add Cydia, Replace boot logos) 4. Process successfully finishes What is the expected output? iPhone should maintain it's wi-fi connectivity when available. What do you see instead? After a couple of days the iPhone couldn't sustain any wi-fi connection to any access point, I've tried connecting on various types of APs, unfortunately without any luck. The network appears for 2 or 3 seconds sometimes even more than a minute and it allows you to connect but as soon as I try to request anything it drops. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? QuickPWN 2.2.1, Windows XP SP-3 Please provide any additional information below. Please check this post http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/f167/59652- 3.htm#post377873

(talking about chronic-dev, not iphone-dev).

It's all about the timing, with respect to getting into DFU mode. In DFU mode, the screen is blank; it's not the same as having the iPhone showing the USB cable. I kept getting .... error (6) and kept trying and finally got it. Memorize/write down the keypress sequence and timing and follow it; don't use the screen prompts if you start off out of sync due to turning it off too slowly. If you want to email me, put "spam" in the subject <sic> to bypass my filters.
