Note that this is a very old fork of the ion Window manager, which is now at version 3.x or higher. See http://modeemi.fi/~tuomov/ion/ for more details.

Some people prefer the older version, so this fork is just the required changes in order to make it build and coexist on newer Linux systems.

The license is a custom one, although it is rather GPL-like.
