The Interactive readings is a tool for helping language learners develop audio comprehension skills and build vocabulary. Le Voyage du Horla is an example. You listen to a text. When paused the word being said is highlighted . You can maneuver within the sound track by clicking on a word. You can view definitions of challenging words by hovering over that word, or you can view a translation by placing the cursor over a punctuation mark.

Creating a reading first involves a two step sound integration process: creating a rough-draft (demo , documentation) and then fine-tuning it (demo, documentation). Then the reading is translated (demo, documentation). There is a basic version control system which allows only one user at a time to edit a reading.
