This article explains to you what incLib is good for...
Featured, PGELua, incLib, explanation, description, emulation IntroductionThe PSP Homebrew Scene brought tons of different Luawrappers to us. Most of them are called "Luaplayers", maybe because they all depend on one Luawrapper that once was called Luaplayer. So at the beginning there has been developed a "standard Luaplayer", on which, later on, "LuaPlayer Mod" in version 1 to 4 could follow. Then the PSP Slim followed and it was not possible anymore to run any of these "Luaplayers". So the standard Luaplayer was ported to the Slim, but it could also be launched on the PSP Fat. At this time another "Luaplayer" followed, it was called (and still is) "Luaplayer HM", which is now at version 8 in the first development row, and at number 2 of the second row. Unfortunately it is very hard to get an overview on all these Luaplayers, since the functions vary a lot. And at least a Luawrapper came up, which was and still is totally independent: PGELua. It is extremely fast and well documented...so why don't we give it a try to make PGELua play all the scripts and codes that have been written for a specific "Luaplayer"? No more porting, no more worries about missing functions. incLib unites them all on one powerful platform: PGELua. DetailsThe introduction actually contains all the information you need. But to be more exactly, incLib does not only offer an emulation of any "Luaplayer" ever made on the fast PGELua, it is more than that. Old applications, that already seemed to be lost in space of time, that already have been forgotten, can now return! incLib is not yet ready. And it won't surely be as fast as you expect it, because it is really big and uses extensive drawing, that slows down the more pictures and drawing is done. But it will work, and that's the only thing that really matters... As soon as PGE is available as Open Source, there will be a special incLib-Edition, which can be much more fast, as it is written in C. Stay tuned. You're interested in this project?
