In Python 3.1, the importlib package was introduced. Because of its inclusion in Python's standard library along with its complexity, what has been included in importlib has been rather conservative. This project is meant to act as a test bed for new code and ideas that could end up in importlib in some future version of Python based on feedback from the Python community.
