v2.2 (Published 01/2012)

New edition v2.2 brings:

• Hybrid Signalisation/Signalization - not only can you list IP streaming technologies in as your transports, you can now list other technologies (like DVB-S, DVB-T, DAB, FM, etc) - unlocking service following for future use in solutions.

• Manifests - initial support for associating metadata for schedules, or electronic programme guides, alongside your brands. Also allows identification of podcasts associated with brands. Future expansion here will enable on-demand streaming services. Leverages existing formats presented by Media Organisations, rather than inventing another 'standard'.

• Adds in extensions to transport document to allow for media organisations who provide increased information about their streams using other technologies. (In this release - RadioDNS)

• Minor bug fixes, and tweaks. (See full changes in the Source tab)

v2.1.1 (Published 01/2011)

[2010-10-09] BETA removed from version numbering. [2010-10-09] Changes made to logo nodes following discussions to allow media organisations to signal appropriate background for logos. ../logos/logo@background introduced. (version: revision increment required - 2.1.1)

[2010-11-14] 4) d) xiv) - action 1 - found 'unrestricted' profile for logos - have returned it to the table in section 6.6.1 (.../logos/logo@type) - tidied up wording to match the latest versions. (version: minor increment required - 2.1.0beta)

[2010-11-14] 4) d) vii) - action 1 - example correct (child of links is link... old hangover from discussion specs) :: action 2 - replaced links/link@type attribute with links/link@devicetype throughout the document, updated figures to match, updated examples. [2010-11-14] 4) b) -&- 4) d) iii) -- latest position found - legal thinks it's mostly ok, but has recommended adding the GNU Free Documentaion License - which requires an addition to section 1 of the document. This has been added. (version: revision increment required - 1.0.2beta)

[2010-11-14] 4) d) v) updated document. to have a callout that explains that you don't have to physically locate the imda.xml file in the root filesystem that maps to the root of your webserver, but rather that you could use rewriting rules to locate the file physically anywhere, depending on your organisation's policy. Delivered in July 2010, minor updates over next few months - spelling, etc. No changes that would mean the version would change.
