We are using the igoogle-legacy issue tracker to track the following tickets:

1. feature requests for the existing iGoogle API
2. bugs with the existing iGoogle API
3. bugs with the alias and deletion request forms

To file an alias request, please complete this form. To file a deletion request, please complete this form.

If reporting a feature request, please first check whether the feature is supported in the updated gadgets API or within OpenSocial. All feature requests for the legacy API will be given very low priority.

If someone has duplicated your gadget, or your content, please file a DMCA complaint as outlined here: iGoogle DMCA policy. Requests to delete these duplicate gadgets will only be honored by following the policy.

Using the issue tracker

The tracker helps the iGoogle and gadgets API teams :

• Track current problems that are affecting developers
• Prioritize bug fixes and feature implementations based on how many developers are following them
• Reliably communicate ticket resolutions to developers

The tracker will help gadget developers :

• Make sure that the appropriate team is aware of an issue they may be experiencing or a feature that they desire
• Vote for bugs and features that they feel are important
• Receive update messages when a ticket is updated or closed.

To help this tracker work smoothly, we ask that developers make an effort to file high quality issue reports. It's highly recommended that you read How to Report Bugs Effectively, but at the very least, we insist that you read this entire page before using the tracker.

Using the tracker to prioritize tickets

Tickets in this tracker can be starred. A number next to the title of each ticket indicates how many unique developers have starred it, giving us an idea of how requested a bug fix or a feature implementation may be. If you find a ticket that you feel should be addressed urgently, please star it (click on the star and make sure it looks like ).

Depending on your project settings, you can be notified via email of all changes to tickets that you have starred. This will let you know when a bug has been fixed or a feature has been implemented.

Research your bug/feature

Having lots of duplicated tickets makes the tracker lose effectiveness. Make sure that you do the following before posting:

1. Search the iGoogle Developer Forum for people experiencing similar issues. If you can't find an answer there, then
2. Search this issue tracker for keywords relating to your bug.

If you find an existing issue, make sure that you star the issue to be notified of future changes to the ticket. If you've looked in these locations and still can't find anything, then go ahead and start the filing process.

Fill out the report form

To file the ticket, go to the input form. You will get the following template:

Posting the ticket

If you are not a member of this project, you will not be able to add any labels to the bug. One of the project members will review your bug and categorize it based on the information you included in your report.
