How to use the Alarm Clock Gadget

Adding the gadget to your homepage

Go to the gadget's description page and click on the button labeled Add it now. Now you can go back to your google homepage and you should see the clock there. Of course, you can move it around and place it wherever you wish.

Setting the alarm

After the flash movie and the ringer sound have loaded, two text boxes, an AM/PM chooser and a Set button appear. Fill in the two text boxes with the hour and the minute the alarm should ring on, choose between AM and PM and click the Set button. Note: the AM/PM chooser only if the clock type is AM/PM. If it's set to be a 24H clock, the chooser does not appear and you don't need to worry about it.

Using your own MP3

To use your own mp3 sound as a ringer, you have to first upload it somewhere where it is accessible via http. Some examples of such hosting services include Google Page Creator or FileBucket. Edit the gadget's settings by clicking on the downwards pointing arrow in the gadget's title bar and then on "Edit Settings". Enter the URL to the mp3 file in the third text box (labeled Custom tune URL) and click on Save.

Changing between 24H and AM/PM clock types

The clock can either be a 24H one or an AM/PM one. You can set this in the gadget's settings which can be edited by clicking on the downwards pointing arrow in the gadget's title bar and then on "Edit Settings". Use the clock type chooser to choose the type of clock you want and clock on Save.

Changing themes

The clock has different color themes, to suit your preference and / or mood. To choose a different one, just edit the gadget's settings by clicking on the downwards pointing arrow in the gadget's title bar and then on "Edit Settings". After that, choose your preferred color from the Color theme chooser and click on Save. Currently, there are nine different color themes: black, blue, green, orange, pink, purple, red, white and yellow.

It works fine. I would like to know how to get a MP3 tune to use as the alarm though.
