iDMC is an integrated, user-friendly, open-source software program developed for the simulation and dynamical analysis of nonlinear models.
The package was designed both as a teaching and research tool and is very easy to download and use (a user’s guide is available). Numerical calculations are performed on models included in the package or any model formulated by the user and easily encoded (a few lines and no compilation necessary). The Java graphical user interface provides fast generation of graphical data of good quality which can be saved as .png files.
The native idmclib C library is used. Current availability: numerical simulation of trajectories, options for automatically varying initial values or parameter values; bifurcation diagrams for the study of limit sets with respect to a single parameter or in a two-dimensional parameter space; calculation of the Lyapunov exponents with respect to time, with respect to a single parameter, or in a two-dimensional parameter space; basins of attraction; stable and unstable manifolds; absorbing areas (some options only available for maps.)

iDMC is Copyright (C) 2004-2007 Marji Lines and Alfredo Medio. It was designed and written by D. Pizzoni, and subsequently modified by A. Grigoriev and A. Di Narzo.
iDMC was developed within a research project financed by the Italian Ministry of Universities, the Universities of Udine and Ca'Foscari of Venice, the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region.
