Current Status: Complete- Dev complete, out tomorrow.
- Now available for the private beta testers.
- Nearing completion... will be heading towards the OS X beta testers in about a week, maybe.
- iPhone interaction working well, though the messaging system is subpar. This won't really affect much, though the software might experience slowdowns due to use of NSTimers for polling purposes (even though the core is designed to talk to other modules). The source code will be posted along with the final release, so you'll be able to truly understand the meaning of all this upon release. In any case, iDemocracy 3 is able to obtain up-to-date information from the iPhone, even though its through hacky methods. Keep watching for more updates...
- The core is coming along nicely. iD3 is able to interact with the iPhone very well. Updates will slow down here so as to prolong the suspense, but the Current Status will always be up-to-date.
- Coding is beginning. I've managed to implement the Check for Updates function nicely. So far so good...
- Xcode installed, I'm starting to get the hang of recreating old code using NSTasks and the like. Building an interface for iD3 and trying to talk to the iPhone programmatically.
- MacBook Air has arrived (31 Jan 2008)! Thank you all for the donations. I've installed Xcode and am figuring out how to SSH or iPHUC into the iPhone through Objective C. (Don't worry Windows users: the Air is running Win XP as well. I haven't forgotten you...)
