A help tutorial is highly appreciated. Which steps, in what order and so on. What files to download and so on. Any feedback if the activation / youtube fix has been confirmed working?

help tutorial? the package takes you through step by step and gives you all of the software you need, and practically does everything for you. how much more can you ask for???? :P

I mean help tutorial in the way what to do if things don't just work the way they should :) I see many people reporting about problems on activating the phone. Is Pacay part of iDemocracy already?

the activator doesnt work. actually it kinda freezez the iphone. I made all the steps on the idemocracy however activating failed and freezed. still trying to recover.

The project is fantastic, however I think it would be helpful to have a more organized site. There is too much information on the Project Home page to make navigation easy for casual users. For example, there are five downloads available in the featured downloads section, none of which have a description associated with them. iDemocracy.zip appears to be the major application, but it wasn't until I unzipped this and extracted it that I could make that assumption.

What is Installer.App Fix? What is iDemocracy Activator?

Within the first paragraph of the main page, there are three statements made about using a virgin iPhone, or 'revirginizing' an existing iPhone. If this is part of the iDemocracy walkthrough, why mention it at all? Or, if you really want to highlight this as an important step, keep your existing text and add "Do not skip this step during the iDemocracy walkthrough."

As is, it appears to new users that we need to search the web for a revirginizing tool, run it, reset, then find out which iDemocracy tool we need.

Again, I think this is a fantastic project, and I feel that your efforts deserve monetary compensation.

i tried the new activator youtube fix and the youtube works fine but the activator says it failed. i am assuming that the activator should work with any sim card installed, because i have unlocked with anysim 1.1 and when i put the new sim in and turn the phone back on i am at the activate iphone screen with a message saying different sim detected. any help would be great or if this is a bug with the activator hope there is something you can do about it.

Thanks for the this great project. I was wondering if you have something similar than can revirginize an unlocked 1.02 phone with iunlock or anysim. The steps or procedures are already on some sites on the net, and was wondering if you have a semi-automatic app for this? Thanks.

I assume that iD2 must be on the verge of release. But t would be great if it could counter-attack 1.1.2(launching this Friday) and iTunes 7.5(already up and running on apple.com).

Having said that, there are still users running previous firmwares like 1.0.2 and 1.0.1 that are unlocked by simfree. Will iD2 take care of them and help them virginize,upgrade and jailbreak?

HEY YOU GUYS I HAVE A HUGE QUESTION now im not a pro at unlocking but im pretty well known i unlocked peoples phone and jailbreaked a couple of ipod touches 1.1.2 now i plan to get a iPhone around christmas so hopefully it will be 1.1.2 now if i get iDemocracy will this work for Activation,iPod,Jailbreak,Unlock PLEASE THE BIGGEST ISSUE IS ACTIVATION WILL I DEMOCRACY 2 WORK WITH A BRAND NEW iPHONE TO ACTIVATE IT

Hey not to be rude or anything but can you just say Yes or no So is 1.1.2 shipped in the US or the UK only??????? and will idemocracy 2 activate to IM REALLY bad at interpreting things so ill give u the full story MY mom crashed her car and she got money for it so im gettin an iphone now i expect it in a month so in the US what is apple currently shipping 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 and is it is 1.1.2 will i democracy be able to ACTIVATE IT Brand new!!!!!!???????

iD2 may possibly activate 1.1.2. I believe there's a solution out there with a patched lockdownd that I'm working on implementing.

Apparently all new iPhones come with the 4.06 bootloader which screws up unlocking. However, iD2 can still activate/jailbreak them. If you bought an iPhone before then, you can upgrade and unlock just fine.

I am running unlocked 1.1.1 and really looking for iD2, will this program update my unlocked 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 will then jailbreak+activate+unlock it??

How can you be sure which version of bootloader your iphone is running?

Here is my scoop folks... I have successfully jailbroken my NEW "Out of the Box" Week 45 - 1.1.2 Firmware with the latest Modem Firmware and bootloader 4.06, but now waiting for a solution to unlock the SIM... I do know that AnySim? 1.2u does not work for this new phone, so I never tried it. Does anyone know of a solution right now (Nov 18, 2007), or am I on the same boat everyone else is, which is waiting for iDemocracy 2.1 to be available? Thanks.

all those people with the new bootloader 4.06 on there iPhones can only activate and jailbreak there phones rite now ... no one as of yet has managed to unlock to work with any sim but it is only a matter of time

could you please tell me when the iD2.1 will be released? i do not think id2.0 can jailbreak and active the 1.1.2 iphone with bootloader 4.x, right? need more infor. thank!

BTW. i mean i can use my brand new 1.12 iphone as a phone not just a ipod touch.

@reg.mjl: iD2.0 can totially jailbreak and activate the 1.1.2 otb 4.6bl iPhones. Just downgrade it to 1.1.1, jailbreak with the Short Method, and follow the long 1.1.2 Method (all instructions in iD2, just run and choose the "1.1.2 Jailbreak"). iD2.1 will hopefully unlock it as well.

thanks a lot for ur responding. my iphone is 1.1.2 otb 4.6BL from the US. but i hear that the only thing i can do is just to downgrade iphone to 1.1.1. and anySIM cannot work then. that means the iphone is just a ipod. the telephone function is lost. are u sure i can use iD2.0 totally jailbreak, activate and unlock my iphone? and i can use it as a normal phone including SMS, phone calling and receiving. the 3rd part software and so on?

Guys need help here. i have out of the box 1.1.2 4.6 bl. please specify steps on just jailbreaking and activating using id2. i just downgraded it twice and keep coming back to 1.1.2. i just need a step by step instruction. thanks for your help!

unlocking 1.1.2 iphones with new bootloader 4.6 is not possible at the moment as the exploit that was was used to unlock the old bootloader has now been patched. Geohot and ppl are workin on it but it isnt lookin that hopeful at the moment.

Please if what I'm saying is stupid just let me know but I wonder the next fact. Apple is now selling unlocked iphones in european countries. Wouldn't be the easiest way to arrive to the solution with a copy of the official unlocked iphone files?
