Since I use a latin keyboard, I needed a Farsi transliteration input method. Attached file is what I came up with. It is probably incomplete and may feel unnatural to a native speaker, but it works for me.

I get completion proposals and auto_commit mode makes the experience a bit smoother. I assume I would have to implement these myself for m17n using Lisp?

ibus-m17n uses the m17n maps and you need to upstream your patch on m17n.
