issue 76 (Finding basepath of script with spaces) reported by gustavgraf   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. store the script in a folder with spaces in folder name 2. run script 3. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? script should load language files from local server instead they are loaded from http://hyphenator.googlecode.com/svn/trunk What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 2.4.0, FireFox 3.5.6, Apache1.3, XP SP2 Please provide any additional information below. I added decodeURI and encodeURI to method "basePath": src = decodeURI (t.src); p = src.indexOf('Hyphenator.js'); if (p !== -1) { return encodeURI(src.substring(0, p)); } Great Script, I am stll evaluating it. Not sure if it will be accepted by users. Gustav G.

en_DealingWithInaccurateHyphenation (How to deal with inaccurate hyphenation) Wiki page commented on by erdbeerhubert   -   Thanks for the fast answer and the update. Obviously I wasn't that wrong with my assumption how to adjust the old example. However it's not working for me right now. I'm using the Hyphenator Plugin for Wordpress, maybe the implementation has some bugs. The Plugin is hyphenating e.g. unser-er, which isn't correct. Adding the exceptions as stated above doesn't fix the problem. Unfortunatley I'm too busy at the moment to check the problem in depth. As soon as I find some time to do that, I'm gonna follow up to you. Cheers Henry

en_DealingWithInaccurateHyphenation (How to deal with inaccurate hyphenation) Wiki page commented on by erdbeerhubert   -   hello, first thanks for that awesome script! i tried to define exceptions in the current release, but i'm not very successful in making it work. the syntax of the pattern def files seems to have changed since this tutorial has been written. i tried to adapt and used the following line: exceptions : 'wei-te-re, wei-te-rer, wei-te-res, an-bie-ten, un-se-rer, un-se-res, un-se-re' i removed the semicolon, because i got an "missing }" error in firebug. unfortunately the exceptions are not used by the script. maybe you could update the tutorial, that would be nice! thanks in advance cheers henry

en_HowToUseHyphenator (How to use Hyphenator on a website) Wiki page commented on by math...@mnn.ch   -   @dmalinovsky Cool! Works great. I'd prefer if you didn't link to the trunk but to the latest version tag (currently http://hyphenator.googlecode.com/svn/tags/Version%202.4.0/Hyphenator.js). Sometimes the code in the trunk isn't tested and may not work! I'll check if there's a way to install a 'latest'-directory, where you can link to… Regards Mathias

Gibt es für Opera auch ein Bugtracking-System, wo man solche Fehler melden kann? Habe jedenfalls ein Testcase dafür geschrieben: http://hyphenator.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/testsuite/test61.html Since I can't fix it (its the browser) I'll leave the status 'fixed'

issue 75 (Remove warning about not supported language) Status changed by math...@mnn.ch   -   Hi Thank for the feedback. I found it convenient (as a developer) to see if there are any lang-tags around that are not supported by hyphenator. But you're right it should be silent for the bookmarklet. One can disable the warning by overwriting the errorhandler-function: see http://code.google.com/p/hyphenator/wiki/en_PublicAPI#property_onerrorhandler

issue 75 (Remove warning about not supported language) reported by dmalinovsky   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? On some pages hyphenator emits warning about language is not supported, for example it complains about en-gb on this page: http://www.bbc.co.uk/russian/international/2009/11/091128_swiss_minaret_referendum.shtml What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I propose to run it silently, at least when using bookmarklet. If it's not possible I'd like to know any possible way to disable such warnings. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? I'm using version 2.4.0 with Firefox 3.5.5, Linux Ubuntu 9.10.
