The current released version of HXCPP (3,0,2) doesn't work with the latest xcode. This seems to have been fixed on the latest trunk hxcpp, but when I get this version, I get linking errors complaining that basic_string is not available (probably due to using the wrong libstdc++.

I also thought about rebuilding the ios targets, but sdl-static is broken for ios_simulator, and when I fix it (by copying the freetype libraries), the target rebuilds, by my project still doesn't work.

I don't understand well enough how exactly hxcpp interacts with openfl, but I'm not able to fix this by changing iphonesim-toolchain.xml (the linker part doesn't seem to be used at all when I compile my project).

But I wonder if I'm doing something wrong and if there's hope. Also, I'm not sure if I should file a bug here or on openfl-native.

Anyways, thank you so much for your work on this project.

I have added the libstdc++ flag to the hxcpp command line, and also recompiled the HXCPP binaries with this flag. These now match, so things should go smoother. NME also needs to be compiled with this flag. sdl-static does not use std::string, so it should be ok I think. I hope this fixes your issue
