Suggest words to add or remove from the dictionaries.
ErrataIs the spell checker missing a word? Is a misspelled word suggested as a correction? You don’t need to be a skilled programmer to get the problem fixed. Please let us know what’s going on by submitting a comment at the bottom of this page. We’ll try to incorporate suggestions in future releases of the OpenOffice.org and Firefox/Thunderbird spell checking dictionaries. For the OpenOffice.org dictionaries, you can download the current wordlist. You can also browse the Firefox/Thunderbird dictionaries’ current wordlists: new-style and old-style. If I understand your first comment correctly, Firefox stops checking words in the Brasil article after a certain point. That's actually a feature: spell checking in Firefox can be resource-intensive, so Firefox quits checking after it finds a certain number of misspellings. You can adjust the point at which it stops by editing the extensions.spellcheck.inline.max-misspellings preference in about:config.
I've added all the words you specifically requested, except for "cang". "Cang is so rare apart from people's names that it'd be better to have "cang" register as a misspelling (with "cảng" and "canh") as suggestions.
For the surnames, I've filed issue #2. I've added several modern words, but issue #4 is for doing it more systematically.
The suggestions aren't always very good. I'm not an expert on Hunspell, but there must be a way to favor certain replacements (such as ở → ỡ) over others. Iván?
Currently if you take a look to the aff hunspell rules. it contains this:
REP o ở REP O Ở REP o ỡ REP O Ỡ REP o ớ REP O Ớ etc
That means that whenever it finds a simple "o" or "O" it will try to replace the "o"/"O" with an diacritic o/O in order to find a word in the dictionary file.
If we want the ở → ỡ replacement, we need to add that into the rule file. I'm not sure how much will affect the performance if we had all the diacritics replacing all the diacritics(of course of the same vowel).
I've filed issue #5 about this.

Nếu đang sử dụng phần mở rộng Firefox, có “xóa” và “khỏe” trong từ điển Vietnamese (Old), còn có “xoá” và “khoẻ” trong từ điển Vietnamese (Old). Hai từ điển này phân biệt cách bỏ dấu.
Còn nếu đang sử dụng từ điển dành cho OpenOffice.org, xin lưu ý rằng chúng ta chưa có từ điển kiểu dấu cũ, chỉ có kiểu dấu mới.
Tôi đã thêm “tỷ” vào r50, nên từ này sẽ được chấp nhận trong các phiên bản từ điển sau. Cám ơn.

Đây chỉ là phần ngoài lề, nhưng mình thấy hơi kì cục nên nói luôn, đó là cách xưng hô trên các trang wiki tiếng Việt của project này:
If "we" means "NOT including you" then we use "chúng tôi". If "we" means "including you" then we use "chúng ta".
So I think you may want to check it.

có phải nhầm lẫn không, vì mỗi chữ v không có nghĩa
vậy 1 là bỏ nó, hoặc là thêm toàn bộ các chữ cái còn lại
nhưng mình nghĩ là thêm tất cả các chữ cái
vì nếu gõ bảng chữ cái tiếng Việt mà lại báo sai lỗi chính tả thì ngộ thật
(mặc dù như 'ă' đứng 1 mình thì sai thật)
Chúng ta phải làm nó hợp lệ để cho "v.v." không báo hai lỗi chính tả.
