About Social Geotagging
Geotagging is the name for adding metadata on top of latitude and longitude coordinates. It is commonly used in applications like embeded EXIF location data for digital photographs on Flickr. hood adds a social framework to geotagging by allowing you to declare and share your location with your friends, businesses, stockholders, etc and giving you an easy to add geotagged metadata to your photos, Facebook updates, craigslist listings, etc.
Implementation
hood provides a framework and UI for creating geotagged information, querying over semi-structured data from the web based on your location, and applying geotags to your data and sharing them.
