- Very nice antivirus you have launched. System restore can have many issues depending on what you running... antivirus software has especially. My advice would be to always use system restore from Safe mode, which you can enter by hitting the F8 key right as Windows is booting up. You will have much better luck by doing that.

- It appears the new version of iTunes has built into the support. I am unsure of the future of HKTunes. It will be kept as way to enable custom hotkeys however it might not be updated often in the future as I the developer currently no longer have a use for it. Its been fun and thank you to all who supported the project.

- I'm at a loss with these properity keyboard drivers at the moment. This could be fixed with a low level hook of the keyboard but that will take some time as conflicts will need to be worked out. Certain games seem to assume full control of the keyboard. I have no problem with most of my games however.
Also sometimes running HKTunes as adminstrator can solve this.

- Temporary fix for anyone who's media keys are still working:

Note, the errors will still occur but the program won't give you a bunch of pop-ups telling you about it. (error message box commented out in source)

- Same with Flode, HKtunes isn't working consistently for me and my G110 keyboard. The keyboard has media controls in the top right control which hktunes uses as my hotkeys (how convenient!) and it works great in normal use, but the time I would most use it is when I am playing a game, such as the Witcher 2. Then hktunes stops recognizing those hotkeys, unless I alt-tab out of the game but if I have to do that, no point in the hotkey.
This seems to occur whenever I have any game running in full screen. Not sure what else to do, hope this can get fixed soon!

- It works with iTunes 10.5. But iTunes has taken over direct media keys itself. HKTunes still works good on my non media key shortcuts (Next Track: Ctrl + Volume Up). The play pause hotkey works even without hktunes now.

- I had these error messages once I upgraded (auto-update) iTunes.
The error was simply that the new iTunes version was supporting my keyboard. iTunes was registring the keys on its side preventing HKTunes to do so. Uninstalling HKTunes fixed the issues, and my keyboard shortcuts still work.

- Same problem here. I tried putting hktunes on autostart so I don't have to run it everytime I wanna listen to music, but since it'll start before iTunes, the keys won't work. I'd have to check if there is a way to have hktunes always start after iTunes, both on system booting and anytime during a session.

- So I just seen that this was now how it worked.
Close iTunes, HKTunes closes. Open it and iTunes will.
Why isn't this an option. Like a lot before me, i'm not in favor of that option!

- I tried the "fresh start" approach. Uninstalled iTunes, my keyboard, hktunes, etc. Some reboots in between to make sure. Then I installed each thing, one at a time, with reboots when necessary.
Same story. Hotkeys work fine when iTunes is the active window. Global hotkeys with hktunes are not working.

Apparantly Apple just changed a windows id class name without notifying third parties....
I can confirm it works.
