The Hackystat "Devcathlon" is a software engineering game where individuals and groups "compete" based upon their actual software development practices. Devcathlon hopes to help developers and project managers assess their productivity and level of development through the idea of making coding a much more eventful environment. Devcathlon simply puts this into perspective by acquiring the statistics (from Hackystat) of each project and compares them against other existing projects in what is known as a match. Each project is a subset of a created team, and a match is the make up of multiple teams going against each other. The highest scores from each team are determined by various accounts of fired "developer events" gathered from individual players which contribute to the overall comparison process. Teams and players with the highest score gain immediate bragging rights, and eventually get inducted into the "Hall of Fame" for developers. Most valuable developers are awarded and praised by their fellow constituents. Why not give this game a try and see if you have what it takes to stay at the top of the game. Remember that this is basically a game where you are inevitably competing against yourselves. Devcathlon just so happens to help give your community of peers the recognition that you and your team deserves. Devcathlon v2.0 Updates 08/23/2009
