Features coming up soon in GWTP
Phase-Requirements, Type-Development
Updated Jun 9, 2011 by philippe.beaudoin

In time GWTP will offer you a number of extra features. Don't worry, though, GWTP will not grow into a bloated framework! Only really useful features make it into the platform. And remember, thanks to GWT's optimized compilation, features you're not using are never added to your application, so it will always load lightning fast!

The following list shows these upcoming features, with a link to the related issue in the tracker, in case you want to 'star' it and show your interest:

  • DONE! Integration with Google Analytics (Issue 42)
  • DONE! Make web application crawlable by search engines (Issue 1)
  • DONE! Publish to a Maven repository (Issue 51)
  • Powerful testing tools for your GWTP-based application (Issue 43)
  • Support for regexps in name tokens and for many presenters sharing the same name token (Issue 78)
  • DONE! Client-side support for undo in the dispatcher (Issue 64)
  • Testing scaffolding for presenters and examples (Issues 43, 111, 143, 152, 196)
  • DONE! Support for hierarchical name tokens and breadcrumbs (Issue 84)
  • Support for MDI-style application with dynamic tabs (Issue 94)
  • A full range of code samples to take you through the features (Issues 76, 77)
  • Integration with the new Activity and Place classes of GWT 2.1.
  • Integration with the new RequestFactory of GWT 2.1.
  • DONE! An eclipse plugin to facilitate the creation of Presenters and Views.

If you think of any great feature to add to GWTP, don't hesitate to submit a new issue!
