Objectives
Provide an API to be able to manipulate a Google Reader account from Java. In the hope that Google realizes that there are developers interested in an official API.
There are nice things to be done using Google Reader's data. For example desktop applications that could easily get your unread items out of Google Reader, then later synchronize the read/starred/... items.
One could also play with the data, create mashups of Google Reader and other Web 2.x online services...

I'm currently searching for collaborators on this project. I'm not experienced with open source and I'd love to get some help to organize things and to discuss further development efforts on this project.
