"The Google Maps API for Flash has been officially deprecated as of September 2, 2011."

As the Google Maps API for Flash is the core foundation for viewing Maps within GPXFlash this also means the death for this Project.

I will not invest any more Time and Effort into this Project as there seem to be no good alternatives for the API at the moment.

gpxflash is a GPX-File Parser that parses GPX-Files, shows the contained GPS-Tracks on a Google Map using the Google Maps Flash-API and draws Height-Profiles of the Tracks. (See Features page in the wiki).

Installation

GPXFlash can be used as AIR-Application on the Desktop and it can be installed on a Webserver to share your Tracks. Installation Page in the Wiki

AIR-Application

1. Download and install Adobe AIR: http://get.adobe.com/air/
2. Download the GPXFlash AIR install package and install it using the AIR installer.

Flash-Application

THIS WILL NO LONGER WORK. Google has deprected the underlying API and is not handing out API-Keys for new Domains. So dont waste you time please!

1. get a Google Maps-API Key for your Hosting Location: http://code.google.com/intl/en/apis/maps/signup.html
2. download the .zip package from the doenloads or checkout the deploy-flash Folder from SVN
3. Upload the Files to your Webserver
4. replace the Google-Maps API-Key in the gpxflash.php File
