Just get .tar.gz archive. There are binary executable for Linux (in my Ubuntu normally working)
@daryn.gray: As neokril says, no proprietary software necessary. I've just downloaded this and tried it out on my Gutsy box. It's a pre-compiled executable. You just extract it where you want, double-click (or single, depending on how you've modified your setup) and a little gui window will appear. You type in your search term, press "Search" and a Google Search Results page open up in your default browser.

why real basic? it doesn't make much sense to me using comercial apps to develop open-source software... I know that the binaries work, but the source... is unreachable... unless you have a realbasic license.

how should i install the ./ ,make ... can't work it's remained me :"libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" and i try : "aptitude install libstdc++5" with no any result .
i m using ubuntu 8.04 and firefox
same problem with djbeniss, just 1 difference, that i'm using ubuntu 8.10
download libstdc++5-3.3dev package
