It seems like most the 'programmers' populating the App Engine community do not know how to use a issue tracker / ticket system and keep spamming it, and therefore my inbox, with useless "+1" comments. In order to discourage the useless noise of these drones I humbly request that Google implement a lower character limit or some sort of moderation so that these annoying and utterly unhelpful "+1" comments don't clutter the issue comments. Oh course, I expect a hailstorm of "+1" comments on this issue, but this will only highlight the need for filtering. |

This issue isn't specific to App Engine, it's a request for a feature of Google Code itself. I'm not sure if Google Code has an account for itself... |

There is an issue tracker for Google Code, but it's absurdly hard to find, which ironically was one of the issues. Here it is: http://code.google.com/p/support/issues/list. You can get to it by going to the Google Code hosting site and clicking on "What's new" which will land you on the Google Code Google Code site :P |

The relevant Project Hosting/Google Code issue: http://code.google.com/p/support/issues/detail?id=677 Star it and append feedback as necessary. Updates to that issue go to the project hosting team directly. I'll leave this comment open as well for the time being. I plan on going through and removing most of the +1 comments in the very near future, if only to discourage the practice. I'll close this ticket once I feel we have it under control.
