Found in GWT Release (e.g. 1.5.3, 1.6 RC): 1.6 Encountered on OS / Browser (e.g. WinXP, IE6-7, FF3): Win* Detailed description (please be as specific as possible): Pretty self-explanatory. We need a new deferred-binding target for IE8, along with fully-tested implementations of DOMImpl, etc. Workaround if you have one: The existing IE6/7 support puts you into compatibility-mode, which works fairly well, but there are a number of outstanding issues that will almost definitely be easier to fix by simply supporting IE8 properly. |

Er, this was committed to trunk, so when should we expect a merge to the releases/1.6 branch? (eventually, consider this as a reminder to do this merge at some point before the next 1.6.x gets released ;-) ) |

Thanks for the reminder, Thomas. I've been marking things Milestone-1_6_1 to serve as such a reminder. One of us will come back around "real soon now" to down merge into the 1.6 release branch. |

I screwed up a couple of things with this patch, which are accounted for in r5305 and r5306. These will have to be merged into 1.6 as well. |
