I'm guessing that the private SPIs that the function relies on have changed.

launchd was rewritten for 10.10, not open-sourced.

I added some printf() statements to discover that both the 10_5 and 10_6 
attempts fail. However, VPROC_GSK_ENVIRONMENT is still 11, the 10_6 value.
