Introduction

This project includes utilities for MySQL and patches that add features to MySQL.

Details

This project includes:

  • mypgrep.py - a tool, similar to pgrep, for managing mysql connections
  • compact_innodb.py - compacts innodb datafiles by dumping and reloading all tables
  • patches - patches to add features to MySQL 4.0.26, described at Mysql4Patches

Wondering what the status is of getting the MySQL 4 patches to MySQL 5? I run a fairly large hosting company (Bluehost.com and Hostmonster.com). We host together about 500,000 domains. I REALLY need the feature that allows seeing the breakdown of queries by user. Is this something that is happening soon? If not, is there something I can do to speed it along. Perhaps a cash $$$ prize for the person that does it or something? I am VERY eager to get it added.

Thanks, Matt Heaton

Do you provide splited version of above patch? Eq. I'm only interested in mysql user/table/database accounting, not replication.

It's very useful for me. thanks

Whether you plan development of the given patch on FreeBSD?

Thanks.

Like Piotr, right now I'm only interested in the UserTableMonitoring features:

  • SHOW USER_STATISTICS
  • SHOW TABLE_STATISTICS
  • SHOW INDEX_STATISTICS
  • FLUSH TABLE_STATISTICS
  • FLUSH INDEX_STATISTICS

Is it possible to segregate this huge conglomerate patch into separate patch files?

http://google-mysql-tools.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/mysql-patches/mysql-5.0.37-patches

Also, since 5.0.37 is too borked to use on a production server, are there any plans for a patch for 6.0.4 or 5.1.23 or even 5.0.51a which came out over two months ago?
